Dr. Godwin O Sekyere | Pastor
Dr. Godwin Sekyere, urged by the Holy Spirit, founded the Living Wells Assemblies of God to be an agency for spiritual growth and increased Christians’ economic productivity.
The attributes that best describe Dr. Godwin Sekyere as a pastor are a passion for the lost, preaching, leadership development, and counseling to spiritually and economically empower the saints. His core areas of emphasis are evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and compassion (economic empowerment). His aim is for each member of Living Wells Assemblies of God to be a Living Well (that quenches or satisfies the spiritual thirst of souls around us) and to live well. Thus, he also believes in providing economic pastorship, where he leads his members to care about the economic needs of those around them and use that as the basis to connect them to Christ. Dr. Sekyere takes worship and preaching very seriously.
He graduated from Walden University in 2016 with a Ph.D. in Business Management, specializing in Finance. Before receiving his calling into the ministry, he had taught finance courses at Bowie State University and Washington Adventist University for close to five years. Like Paul, he considers everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing and serving Christ Jesus his Lord, for whose sake he has lost all things. He considers them garbage, that he might gain and know Christ and more about His grace and apostleship (the gospel mission).
Dr. Godwin Sekyere has been happily married for over 14 years to his wife, Mrs. Emelia Sekyere. They have three children: Christopher, Frederick, and Christina.
Dr. Godwin Sekyere is credentialed as a certified minister of Assemblies of God church, authorized to teach/preach the gospel of our Jesus Christ and perform the church’s ordinances and ceremonies.
